September 12, 2006 - 04:00 PMLots of hitting from everyone and great defense helped Myrtle Grove to a no-hit first game win against the Murray Falcons.
Courtney started the season with strong lead off hitting, and Savannah and Michel followed suit in leading the Gators to a 10-0 win. Defensively, Drew picked off one of the few Murray baserunners at 2nd. At the catcher position, Crystal had no passed balls, and Amanda was the winning pitcher posting 8 strikeouts, 1 walk and giving up no runs.
The Gators start off with a victory and post a 1-0 record.
