Myrtle Grove had to go through its lineup once before it's bats came alive. Crystal created the much needed momentum with a lead off home run in the top of the 4th. Savannah followed that up with one of her own. That offensive burst led to 8 runs in the 4th inning and gave the Gators some breathing room.
Every Gator that batted got at least one hit. It was an awesome display of offense. Crystal and Savannah teamed up to pick off a Trask baserunner at 2nd, and Savannah's heads up throw to home to stop a run from scoring were major plays in the game.
This was Gator softball at it's best, great defense, great offense. Keep it up girls!
The Gators are now 4-0, having scored 40 runs and giving up only 3.
