October 11, 2006 - 04:00 PMMyrtle Grove came one step closer to the middle school championship by defeating 1 of the 2 schools that had a chance at tying the Gators for the championship. Noble came in to the game with just 2 losses, and with a batting order that could do some damage, this was sure to be a tough assignment.
However, the Lady Gators stepped it up, and by the end of the 2nd inning had run the score to 9-0. Kudos go to Madison, who had a game changing double in the 2nd to clear the bases, scoring 2 RBI's. Kudos also to Carly, with some brilliant defense on first, teaming with Drew on two key outs in the first inning. She was also hot at the plate, with 2 big hits, and 3 RBI's.
Morgan and Crystal got big triples, running the bases really well to get in excellent scoring position for Carly to hit them in.
Congratulations Gators on another excellent game. The Gators are now 8-0, having outscored the competition 87-3. Go Gators!
